Yeah, I'm wondering too. Should be interesting. He was in an episode of Diary of a Call Girl with Billie Piper. Now I'll have to go back and watch that.

I'm sort of wondering if the fact that he's a young guy with a lot of hair had anything to do with it. I know that sounds silly, but the first pic I found of him had him in a suit and tie, ruffled hair, leaning on a wall in black horned rimmed glasses looking lanky. I did a double take wondering if he was parroting Ten.

I guess I was hoping for someone really different than DT. Who knows though maybe he will knock my socks of with his acting!

That's what I'm hoping he'll do for me. The thing is, he's so young so I'll feel all cougarish if I start crushing on him. Oh, wait, that didn't stop me from crushing on Ianto. Hmmm.

I've read some good reviews of his work, albeit much of what I read was stage stuff. I'm hoping he can pull it off because Who is really one of the only shows I watch regularly. I'd hate to lose interest.

At almost 43, I felt a bit ick thinking DT was such a cutie, this kid is just way to young for me to even go that route. I was really just hoping they would pick someone very different. I'm sure he can act...I have no respect for Moffatt but I don't think he would pick someone based on look alone. I just feel like he was desperate to keep the DT fans on the bandwagon so to speak. He's a young lanky kid with pouty lips and a thick head of hair. I think he walked in acted his heart out and they decided to make what they considered to be the safe choice.

Doesn't mean he won't be good, but I've said elsewhere seems more like a re-cast than a regeneration.

I'm 49 and freely admit I'd like to do things to David Tennant that would make a sailor blush, so you needn't feel icky about being 43 and thinking he's a cutie. :) I've always been partial to younger men. In fact, my husband is 9 years younger than me.

Well. Hmm. So, another cutie. Younger than I can comfortably...er...well. Yeah.

See, with 10, I could wank away the 10 year age difference...seriously...it's my fantasy; I can wank if I want to. Okay, that sounded way better in my head. ;)

At least it's another pretty boy to watch. So, although 10 will always be "my" Doctor, hope springs eternal!

I'd never heard of him, but apparently he's done a couple of things with Ms. Piper. I just think he's too like Ten. In the past, there's usually been very obvious differences between the Doctors so I'm not sure why they've gone this particular route.

I don't know what to think about this. Have you read this from The Daily Mail?

You need to be old and young at the same time, a boffin and an action hero, a cheeky schoolboy and the wise old man of the universe....One thing I was very emphatic about was I thought there were too many people young on the list,' he revealed. 'I said "I think we're looking for someone in their 40s, or 30s". And of course we ended up casting a 26-year-old. I haven't ever really watched anyone in the role but Tennant. He's really enchanted me with his energy, and the way he plays the role as larger than life. Perhaps that's his stage influence. I'll give this guy a chance, and I'd like to go back and watch the stuff with the 9th doctor as well. But, whatever happens, 10 will always be my doctor.

Interesting choice. I'm certainly going to miss DT. I keep hoping he will change his mind and stay. LOL. Not gonna happen, I know. I'll give the new kid a chance. I really was hoping for someone a bit different. Hopefully, he will be good.

Interesting indeed. I am going to watch the special Dr. Who Confidential tonight. Tennant is going to be a very hard act to follow. Hopefully they won't make him be a Collin Baker type Doctor. Wow. Can I still mourn the fact that 10 is leaving?
