Now, as for the episode itself: I guess I'm just very easily pleased because I liked it. Warts and all. Shrunken!Doctor and Tinkerbell!Doctor -- all of it.

John Simm continued to play the most brilliant Master. It's a shame that he won't be able to play the character again, because he really did a bang up job of it. I totally bought into him being batshit crazy. The Master's death scene at the end, where he died in Ten's arms, refusing to regenerate, was incredible. The slash just wrote itself in the last three episodes and I am not a fan of slash. However, the subtext text was hard to miss.

I was disappointed that there wasn't more of Captain Jack, but what we did get was pretty damn cool. Come on, we saw chest of Jack and him with guns a blazing, what more could we ask for? And him being the Face of Boe? Awesome plot twist. Of course, I'm going to have to go back and watch all of the eps with FoB in them now. Oh, and I hope that we get Who!Jack instead of Torchwood!Jack in series two of TW. Please, Rusty, be kind and give us that if nothing else.

Martha. Where do I start? I really liked her in this episode. She was empowered and amazing and not mooning over Ten. She was what she should have been all season long -- strong. I loved that she traveled the earth, telling people the story of the Doctor, getting everyone to say his name at the same time. What I loved most about her was her telling Ten why she was leaving. Her speech to him was honest, so he knows for damn sure why she choose to stay behind. Because of him. Because he didn't see her in the way that she wanted or needed him to see her. She took her own advice and applied it to her situation, realizing that there was no alternative. I'm happy that it was her decision and not him just dropping her off somewhere without saying goodbye. I would love to say that I'm going to miss Martha, but I just can't. I loved her at the beginning, with the snark, but the way she was written and the way Freema portrayed her, just totally turned me off after a while. Her pining for Ten in every single episode was annoying. We get that she was in love with him, but did they have to keep reminding us? Unless Rusty knew all along that she was only going to be there for one season and that's why he had her say what she did at the end.

Ten: I have come to love David Tennant's Doctor. It's taken two seasons to do it, but I adore him now. Eccleston will always be my Doctor, but Tennant is much closer behind him now. If the rumors are true, I'm going to be very disappointed to see him go at the end of series four. And Rusty. But that's a whole 'nother year away. I refuse to think about it until this time next year. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, people, it's a way of life for me. Now, getting back to Ten...was it just me or did he seem a bit...lighter...at the end instead of the devastated Doctor we got at the end of last season? I'm hoping that he's gotten past losing Rose and is now going to be more like he was in series two and less like he was in series three.

Now, how in the world is Ten going to avoid Nine on the Titanic? Is Rusty going to retcon it? I certainly hope not. I hope this issue is addressed and how cool would it be if Eccleston could make a cameo? Egadz I would be in heaven!!! Then again, if Nine and Ten were together in the same place, wouldn't that create a Paradox as well? My head hurts just thinking about it. [livejournal.com profile] ozreison just pointed out in the comments that Nine was never actually on the ship. He befriended a family and convinced them not to go. So much for my Ten meeting up with Nine squee moment. Damn.

Thank god I have the next thirteen weeks of DW on SciFi to get me through until September some time. At least it will bring me closer to December 25th without me going completely insane. And as I said to [livejournal.com profile] mydeira last night...I'm gonna have to start reading fic. That sound you hear? Yeah, that's me being sucked right into the Whoverse. God help me.

Is it Christmas yet?

You know I agree with you on all of this, but I'm so trying not to get sucked into the Who fandom. However, if you find a nice, gen, adventure story, I might be persuaded to read it. *g*

I would be thrilled! Although Tom Baker was my first Doctor, Eccleston is definitely my favorite!

As for Nine and Ten running into each other, it could happen. (And it wouldn't be the first time the Doctor teamed up with himself. Paradox rules don't seem to apply to Time Lords. *G*)

*crosses fingers*

As written above, the Doctor has teamed up with himself before, himselves even, 5 at once. So it's a go for Eccleston to be there! He won't though, of course, because we all want it so much. I hope it's not retconned that Ten was on the Titanic. Let it be something different and smarter.

Jack as Boe - still loving it. Thinking of fic....actually got a kickass plot bunny. We'll see. I've got a long Supernatural on the go that I should get done first.

Irrespectively - JACK! (just because)

Megaupload is a terrible site there are 100x better sites out there for Who.

I hated Eccleston I thought he was a terrible Doctor and was so happy when he left. Tennant is leaps and bounds better. I think he is really close to Tom Baker's Doctor which I feel was the best Doctor ever. He plays the I'm smarter than everyone role way better then Eccleston ever did.

I'm not sure Tennant is leaving. I read the same thing that both were going to leave the show but then a few days later both said that the rumours were false and neither had any plans to leave. I guess we'll have to see I really hope not though.

Have you seen the animated episode yet? It's pretty cool. It's called Infinate Quest. It's new so it's the Doctor and Martha.

But Nine didn't get on the Titanic. He befriended a family and convinced them to stay home and not get on the ship. There's no reference to him actually being on board, is there?

Ohhhhh!! You're right!! I need to go watch "Rose" again. So there's really no Nine and Ten meet up on the Titanic. Bummer.
