Stargate Atlantis - 3x17 - "Sunday": I'd seen this episode before, but watching it again, it was so powerful that it killed me. Ded. I cried. And I cried even harder when Rodney said his goodbyes to Carson at the end. Honestly, there was sobbing involved. I know they're making room for changes in season four, but doing it at Paul McGillion's expense sucks. I will miss him muchly even if Jewel Staite is his replacement. She's no Paul.
Stargate SG-1 - 10x17 - "Talion": Wow. Just...wow. I feel so badly for Teal'c, being driven as far as he was and then to find out, in the end that Arkad confessing to killing Teal'c's mom. Damn. I loved Bra'tac's words of pride to Teal'c at the end -- "You are the son I never had, and I couldn't be prouder than I am at this moment" -- or something to that affect. Very powerful words coming from a mentor. Despite the high price tag to produce this show, it's still got it in spades. I guess it's better to go out on top than to drag on. But still. I love this show.
Doctor Who - 3x08 - "Human Nature": Before Christopher Eccleston, I wasn't a Who fan. I knew of Doctor Who, but other than that, nope, not interested. But I fell in love with Nine and Rose. Now I'm completely in love with Ten and Martha. This episode was amazing (never read the book so I have nothing to go on other than my own enjoyment) and I'm chomping at the bit for the downloads to appear for tonight's part two. I keep refreshing my FL waiting for it to appear. AND THERE IT IS!!! WO0T!!! I think I'll hold this post until I can watch part two and talk about it.
Doctor Who - 3x09 - "The Family of Blood": Amazing. Heartbreakingly beautiful. Tennant was brilliant and I've fallen in love. His earnest portrayal of John Smith made my heart ache for him and Joan and poor, poor Martha. I feel awful for her and her love for Ten. I don't know much about Doctor Who history, but does every companion fall in love with the Doctor? I mean, I like 'shipping as much as the next person, but does it have to be all about the romantic relationships (or lack there of) between the Doctor and his companion? And really, what type of companion are they anyway? I know Ten loved Rose, but does he love all of his companions? What about Mary Jane? Did he love her? Anyway, the part that got me most was when John Smith was trying to decide what to do, the look on his face and the inflection in his voice, the pain of knowing that he would be alone forever. ::thud:: I wanted to hold him and pet him and call him George. I think these last two episodes have got to be my favorite of the new series. I could watch them over and over and not be bored again.
Also, question: I haven't watched all of Torchwood yet (bad Brat!!), so I have no idea what the story is behind Captain Jack, but was that the Jack that that Tim saved from the bomb?? Nevermind. I forgot that Jack is supposed to be American.
I really adored Thomas Sangster being in the episode. He was wonderful in Love Actually.
