yay Jack! It was so good to have DWJack back. Because this form of Jack is more friendly and flirty and fun. TWJack has so much angst. I think if you ignore TWJack, he's perfectly in keeping with how we met him in DW with 9. Um... that's not confusing at ALL. ;)
I think 9 would have run from Jack too. most versions of the Doctor aren't much for confronting what they don't understand until they find out what's what. And if he knows what Rose did to him, then he must've known even then. Maybe he wasn't sure he could/should deal with immortal Jack problems while also dealing with regeneration?
I'm surprised they haven't given us more on Martha. I like her, but I too am finally starting to get annoyed with all the Doctor crush from her. She just doesn't strike me as the mooncalf type.
