I may have Nine blinders on, but are we to believe that Nine felt that way as well?
I think we're supposed to believe that, but I just can't see it. Despite the fact that Nine was cranky, he was far more compassionate in practice than Ten.
And really, I'm tired of Martha and her unrequited love for Ten. Give it up, girl! He has no interest in you that way. Word! Seconded. I adore Martha, but to me she seems like the sort of strong person who'd be like "oh, hell with your poor taste, then!" when he didn't reciprocate her interest. The fact that she's still going on about it is, to me, more Rusty than anything. Still, I do think that most of the time Martha is amazing. She's competent and seems to have a capacity to interact well with people that few companions have possessed (i.e. she doesn't live in a Doctor bubble.)
I liked the episode but I didn't much like the Doctor in it, if that makes sense. Loved the Master, though.
